Lagosians have been urged to use the pedestrian bridge as crossing the high way could endanger their lives
A senior officer in the Lagos state police task force, Mr. salau Abiola, who gave this admonition while speaking with our correspondent said that ‘many lives have been cut short in the process of crossing the express’.
He emphasized that the incessant rate of accident on the highways in the state is appalling, thereby increasing the need of the government to monitor commuters.
Commenting on the attitude of Lagosians generally to laws and order, he said that ‘despite  the Kick Against Indiscipline(KAI) officials who surround all the expressway in the state, people still risk their lives by not using the pedestrian bridge’. 
   
Mr. Salau explained that that the Lagos state government has been working hard to curb lost of lives by sending members of the Kick Against Indiscipline to various parts of the state , where there are expresses to regulate everyone who tries to cross and sanction those that disobey.

The taskforce member also appealed to the government to improve on the means of sensitizing people of the danger inherent in crossing.
He advised Lagosians to place values on their lives, and be good ambassador of the state.
