Drama Trails Audu's Death As Prophet Fails To Resurrect Him

It is another scene at the burial ceremony of the late Abubarka Audu in Kogi State as a group of cleric show up led by a prophet who claimed to have been invited to pray to revive the politician back to life. This interesting twist brought some frenzy into the crowd, who against all hopes, waited with bated breath for the unexpected to happen. Immediately, rumour began to filter into town and social media that the former governor had been resurrected. At the scene, there was mild drama between the prophet and members of the Audu family, who had refused to let him in. The youths of Ogbonicha broke the door to the room where Audu was laid to allow the prophet gain access. “The prayer man was allowed to enter the room according to the wish of the crowd and they all joined in the prayers for the resurrection of Audu with Holy Ghost fire renting the air as well as shouts of Allahu Akbar. First Female Governor in Nigeria Emerges From Taraba State

Taraba State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal, sitting in Abuja has declared the All Progressive Congress, APC's candidate, Senator Aisha Jumai Alhassan now minister-designate‎, as the bona-fide winner of the governorship election of the April 11, in the state. She would be Nigeria's first female governor, as the tribunal headed by Justice Musa Danladi Abubakar has sacked Darius Ishaku, of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP. The justice said that Ishaku was not properly nominated because PDP did not conduct any primary election for Taraba State Governorship Election.

The Emir of Kano, Alhaji Muhammadu Sanusi II, has appointed Alhaji Nasiru Ado Bayero, as the new Ciroman Kano and District Head of Gwale after the removal of his brother, Alhaji Sanusi Ado Bayero, the eldest son of the late Emir of Kano, for refusing to pay homage to the emir. Bayero’s sack was contained in a statement signed by the Galadiman Kano and Senior Councillor in the Emirate, Alhaji Abbas Sanusi, made available to newsmen in Kano on Wednesday.

Iran's Guardian Council passes nuclear bill into law

Iran's Guardian Council ratified a bill on Wednesday approving the nuclear deal reached by Tehran and six world powers, state news agency IRNA and other agencies said, allowing the government to implement the agreement.   Parliament on Tuesday approved the bill with a strong majority, in a victory for President Hassan Rouhani's government over conservative opponents of the July 14 deal, known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action.

The national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, has mourned with the family of  the former presidential candidate of the All Nigeria People's Party of Nigeria, Gamaliel Offoritsenere Onosode who died on 29 September. Onosode who battled with bone cancer for almost 24 months was born on the 22nd of May, 1933 in Sapele, Delta State.

  The Former Secretary to the Government of the Federation SGF and chieftain of Afenifere, Chief Samuel Oluyemisi Falae, Monday received the shock of his life on his 77th birthday as gunmen numbering over 20 invaded his farm in Ilado village, Akure north area of Ondo state and abducted him. Born on September 21, 1938, the former Finance minister was kidnapped by over 20 Fulani herdsmen who invaded his farm and attacked his over 200 workers. Many of his workers including the farm Manager identified as Bruno were matcheted while others were reportedly wounded and are on admission in different hospitals.
