Social Media Liberty For Advertisers
Advertising practitioners have been advised to embrace the social media in other to network with customers on a one on one basis.
This charge was given by the producer of the popular MTN I DON PORT ADVERT, Adeyinka Oduniyi, during a one day seminar at the Nigerian Institute of Journalism, Ogba, with the theme ”Advertising And Brand Personality Creation in Age of Social Media”.
He said the social media aid advertising than any other platform of communication because of its interactive nature and immediacy in receiving feedback.
Adeyinka explained that the liberty to manipulate and write any form of advert thinkable on the internet makes it suit the technological development of this generation.
The talented Advert producer added that “online platform are multiplying, anyone with facebook or twitter account can be an expert in the classic environment”, once they try advertising there.
He however said that intending advertisers should not abuse the liberty granted by the internet, as they can fail, but should create a strong brand personality to ensure that customers absorb the right message and filter the rest.
