Unions in Lagos Support Buhari Anti-corruption Campaign

Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC) join in the War Against
Corruption campaign of Muhammadu Buhari saying it is a good intention of Mr. President
and should be adhere to.

Lagos State Council, Mr. Adesegun Raheem revealed this at the solidarity march/rally

“This day in Nigeria is very special
because the body came together to give an alert and information to sensitize
the entire society particularly the government that it is not business as usual”
he said.
Adesegun Raheem who is also the State
Chairman Nigeria Union of Teachers said they have a letter from the president
general of NLC and President General of TUC to be delivered to Governor
Akinwunmi Ambode and the Speaker of the House of Assembly.
Meanwhile he said there is going to be more
activities to showcase support for the war against corruption when executives
of the council meet subsequently.
Some of the groups that participated in the march included the Nigeria Labour Congress, (NLC), the Trade Union Congress, the National Youth Council, Committee for the Defence of Human Rights (CDHR), National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) and other affiliated workers’ labour groups.
