Many Feared Dead As Suicide Bomber Attacks Mosque In Maiduguri
About six people have been confirmed dead, while seventeen others are injured in a twin bomb blast at Jiddari Polo Area of Maiduguri, the Borno State Capital this morning.
Report says that the blasts occurred around 5am, when Muslims gathered to perform the first early morning Shubhi prayer at a mosque behind Magistrate Court Area.
The explosion was said to be carried out by a lone suicide bomber accompanied by two others who escaped.
The six bodies have been deposited in the mortuary while the seventeen other injured victims are rereceiving treatment at Specialist Hospital and the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital.
