Veteran Actor, Eddie Coffie Passes On


Veteran actor and  president of Ghana Actors Guild, (GAG), Rev Eddie Coffie, has passed on in the early hours of Friday at the Ridge Hospital in Accra, after being in comma for almost a week.

The Ghana Actors Guild in a statement, signed by its Public Relations Officer, Nii Adjetey, confirmed the incident saying “It is rather unfortunate to loose him at this particular moment but God knows best".

“We therefore would like to ask that we express our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, especially the wife and the children left behind even as we pray and ask the good Lord to console them at this trying moment.”

Report says, he has been battling an unknown ailment for months before he went into comma last Sunday.

Rev. Coffie was appointed president of GAG, in October 2014, he's also the Greater Accra Secretary of the Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Churches (GPCC).
