Are we truly at the perilous time? One question I keep asking myself every minute over the mysteries happening everywhere. Will you believe me if I tell you a mother made her son to fall down from a three storey building?

14 year old Abdulrahman was noticed falling off a three storey building at Oluwole Housing Estate Opposite Ogba Retail Market, Ikeja Lagos recently.

According to the information gathered, the young Abdulrahman could not withstand the ill-treatment from his stepmother who starves and beats him with any material, thought the only way he could escape is falling of the building where they reside.

In a chat with a neighbor who pleaded anonymity made it known to our media that although the boy is stubborn and misbehaves not at his wish they said but because he lacks proper care from his so-called stepmother and thought of dying.

“Rahman is a good boy everybody likes because he is respectful but stubborn. And why he is stubborn is just because he lacks parental care. He will always look for means to get money to feed himself because his stepmother doesn't feed him and it got to the extent that he starts picking things to eat from trashes all because they are not taking care of him” a neighbor revealed.

Abdulrahman’s father who has left home for work when the incident revealed was out of reach as at the time of this report.

All efforts by Inyene Victoria's blog to reach the stepmother proved abortive as she has been arrested and detained at Panti Police Station, Adekunle, Yaba Lagos.

Meanwhile, mixed reactions trailed into Abdulrahman's background as neighbours revealed he dropped out of primary school, while some said he his stepmother told he was given a primary education.

“I don't think he went to a primary school because I know him very well and I have never seen him going to school, although Rahman is very brilliant and intelligent. I got to know this when I talk to him” another neighbor said.

While the stepmother is been detained at the Panti police station,now the big question is would the right of the child be upheld or follow the normal route?
