TB Joshua Faces Trial Over Death Of 116
Senior Pastor of Synagogue Church of All Nations, Prophet Temitope Balogun Joshua, and other trustees of the church will be arraigned before a Lagos State High Court in Ikeja, today, over the collapse of a six-storey building in the church on September 12, 2014, which left 116 persons dead.
In the words of the Deputy Director, Public Affairs of the Lagos State Ministry of Justice, Bola Akingbade, who confirmed the scheduled arraignment "the trustees (including TB Joshua) will be arraigned before Justice Lawal Akapo alongside the engineers that constructed the collapsed building".
Justice Ibrahim Buba of the Federal High Court in Lagos, had earlier dismissed two separate fundamental human rights enforcement suits filed by the engineers, Mr. Oladele Ogundeji and Mr. Akinbela Fatiregun, seeking an order restraining the police from inviting, arresting or prosecuting them over the victims’ death.
They would be arraigned before Justice Lawal Akapo together with the engineers that constructed the collapsed building.
